Kaylia Taylor is a 24 year-old Jamaican-Iranian born in Miami, FL. Her fervor for human rights, international law and research led her to undertake a undergrad degree in Political Science and International relations. During her undergrad experience, she took on many volunteering activities, which included volunteering as a BedSide Buddy at Miami Children's Hospital, while also volunteering within the Nurse ICU Unit. In 2017, she volunteered in Costa Rica at an elementary school teaching English, painting educational murals and helping to build a kitchen, while also raising money to ship school supplies for students. Kaylia's passion for human rights, international affairs and research led to her postgrad professional and academic activities.

Kaylia has plans on advancing her education with a masters in international social and public policy. She has continued her journey within the field of international relations by assisting with refugees and asylees at a non-profit organization, Youth Co-Op Inc. In the midst of it all, her realization in the power of meditations has led her to become an advent reader of self-growth books, empowering tedtalks, and a nature lover. A lot of her inspiration comes from impactful leaders including, Rula Jebreal, Sadghuru, Deepak Chopra, Eckhart Tolle, and Amal Clooney.
